SCARSDALE BALLET STUDIO AND THE BALLERINA BALL TEAM UP TO BRING A UNIQUE AND INTERACTIVE NUTCRACKER EVENT TO LOWER WESTCHESTER FAMILIES THIS WINTER, SUNDAY DECEMBER 16TH AT 1PM AT THE SCARSDALE BALLET STUDIO

Young dancers will follow Clara on her journey through a flurry of snowflakes to the Land of the Sweets, complete with snacks, crafts, performances by local pre-professionals and giveaways.

Scarsdale Ballet Studio, Westchester's premier destination for ballet training for over 20 years will open its doors to all young aspiring dancers, age 3-7, to ring in the holiday season and to celebrate the family favorite Nutcracker Ballet with a first annual Nutcracker Party. Joining the efforts of party experts The Ballerina Ball, each guest joins Clara in her favorite afternoon of the year, where they will be greeted with treats and stations for the craft making of charming Nutcracker and winter keepsakes. Post crafting, the young guests will be greeted by the snow queen, adorned in white tulle and diamonds to escort them into a whirling snowstorm of dancing snowflakes. Dancing to the tunes of Tchaikovsky and learning the steps of the snowflakes, the Sugar Plum Fairy applauds the young dancers performance along side the wintery queen and brings them into a room filled with everything sweet. Pre-professional dancers from the Scarsdale Ballet Studio will entertain each guest with a series of short performances, highlighting the Nutcracker’s most beloved characters. Holiday refreshments, giveaways and raffles from local businesses will top off this magical afternoon.
Admission to "A Nutcracker Party" is $20 per child and pre-registration is required by Monday, December 3. The event is recommended for ages 3-7 and will take place at Scarsdale Ballet Studio, located at 696 White Plains Road in Scarsdale, NY. Registration can be made by calling Elizabeth Kawalek at Scarsdale Ballet Studio at 914-725-8754 or by e-mailing Kimberly Giannelli at theballerinaball@gmail.com.
