Israeli Film Festival on Jewish Perspectives

"Ushpizin" is the first of three Israeli films at the Scarsdale Public Library in a series co-sponsored by the library and the Westchester Region of Hadassah. The film unfolds during the holiday of Sukkot in Jerusalem's Orthodox community when a broke young couple prays for a miracle.  Suddenly, miracles abound.  The couple then finds two escaped convicts on their doorstep who become "ushpizin" - guests.  The miracles then become trials.
