The
performance will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 pm in the sanctuary of The
Presbyterian Church of White Plains, 39 Broadway,  White Plains, NY 10601. Tickets for a

suggested donation of $35 are available through the Housing Action Council,
914-332-4144, or at the door before the concert.

The
TransJazz recording group provides smooth jazz combined creatively with other
contemporary music styles for the glory of God. The eight-member
intergenerational and interdenominational band came together in the 1980s to
create a Christian musical expression of the then-emerging fusion jazz music
style, later known as “smooth jazz.” Most of their music is of original
compositions, with a few songs of their own arrangements of music by others.

The
performance will be divided into two sets, with light refreshments available
during intermission.
