Westchester Band

For the final concert of the summer series, Maestro Alan Hollander has asked baritone soloist Darian Worrell to return for a second appearance. Mr. Worrell received a standing ovation on July 25th for his vocal performance with the 75 member band. Joining him in this concert will be the brilliant lyric coloratura soprano, Osceola Davis. Ms. Davis has been featured at the Munich Opera House in Germany that earned her a five minute ovation. Among her many roles was Queen of the Night in "The Magic Flute" as she made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Regular concert goers are assured they will be treated to a listener friendly repertoire including light classics, marches, Dixieland, big band, pop, and the "mystery tune" that could win them a prize from a local merchant. The concerts are sponsored by the Scarsdale Department of Parks and Recreation and Friends of Westchester Band. Bring your lawn chair or blanket for seating. In the event of inclement weather the concert will be indoors at the Scarsdale H.S. auditorium.
