Patch Things Up Charity Event

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

On Thursday, July 15, Scarsdale Patch will be holding an event called "Patch Things Up: A Fundraiser for Gulf Wildlife" outside the Scarsdale train station and at Chat American Grill at 1 Christie Place, Scarsdale, NY.

Starting at 3 p.m. you can purchase delicious baked goods at our bake sale which will be set up near the northbound side of the train station, wherein all proceeds will go to the National Wildlife Federation's preservation fund.

If baked goods aren't your thing, we'll also be offering tickets for a complimentary drink at Chat American Grill, which will go to each donation of $5.00 or more.

We already have generous donations from local stores Lulu Cake Boutique, La Renaissance bakery, and DeCicco market, and are looking for more. If you are interested in contributing or volunteering to this effort, please contact me by email as soon as possible. We especially would be thankful for help paying for printing or decorations.

About the Cause: The NWF has been on the front lines responding to the wildlife crisis in the Gulf, which has been brought upon by the BP oil spill crisis. Nearly 1,500 birds have already perished, and other forms of wildlife are dying each day due to the highly toxic oils.

It is our duty as residents of Scarsdale to help those in need, and this crisis has hit home for a lot of us, especially after our very small-scale oil spill in June. We don't need to feel helpless – come on out and join in the effort. By holding this fundraiser, we will be able to raise money and make a charitable check contribution to the organization's Preservation Fund.

Each $5.00 or more donation will be thanked with a complimentary drink on the house of Chat. I hope to see you all there!

Very truly yours,

Stefan Doyno
Event Chairman
