The Village of Scarsdale wants to let everyone know that you can recycle those old tennis balls from this summer. All you need to do is drop them off at the Scarsdale Recreation Department, located on the first floor of Village Hall.
Most of the tennis balls are resold to dog trainers, schools and hospitals. Some of the tennis balls will be used at churches, to place on the legs of chairs — protecting the floor from scuff marks. A number of the tennis balls will be ground up to make floor mats.
Next year, the Village will have two three new tennis ball locations, at the high school, Crossway, and Brite Avenue.
