Scarsdale-Based Child Care Council of Westchester Welcomes New Board Members

The Child Care Council of Westchester - a nonprofit resource organization that works to ensure every child in Westchester has access to quality early care and education – is proud to announce the addition of April Lasher Sanders, Sue D’Emic and Korey R. Kross to its Board of Directors.

April Lasher Sanders of Hawthorne, NY is a Vice President and Senior Business Banker at M&T Bank’s Tarrytown regional headquarters, where she counsels, educates and advocates for clients and prospects, and uses her 25 years of banking experience to expand the bank’s footprint within the business community.  A 2011 graduate of Leadership Westchester, Sanders is also the Treasurer of the Board of Trustees for the Pleasantville Community Synagogue, past President of the Elmsford Rotary, and has served as Secretary/Treasurer for her BNI chapter. 

Sue D’Emic of Ossining, NY is the Senior Vice President, Controller at Time Inc., a Time Warner Company, responsible for all accounting, financial reporting and treasury operations. She previously served as the Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer for Frontier Communications, a fortune 500 company, which has approximately $5 billion in revenues and tripled in size in 2010 due to its acquisition of certain Verizon properties. D’Emic holds a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the Financial Women’s Association, AICPA, and New York State Society of CPA’s and serves on the Finance Committee of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Ossining. 

Korey R. Kross of Norwalk, CT is a Managing Director at Clarfeld Wealth Strategists and Financial Confidantes. He leads the income tax division, managing the process, delivery, and administration of a highly sophisticated and high volume tax compliance practice. An attorney as well as a seasoned tax advisor, Kross has been providing comprehensive tax advice to wealthy clients in the U.S. and internationally for over 15 years. Prior to joining Clarfeld, he was a Senior Manager in KPMG's International Expatriate Services group. Kross obtained a B.A. degree in Finance from Fairfield University and a J.D. from The University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Connecticut and is a member of the American Bar Association.
