Good morning! A couple of months ago, my youngest daughter, who I usually refer to as mayhem because of her knack for enduring lacrosse injuries, forgetting books at school and remembering this 5 minutes before they lock the school, and leaving everything until the last minute, took a particular interest in what I was reading: my eBay store balance sheet.
Mayhem adores hockey,has an encyclopedic knowledge of every player's stats, averages and trade prospects, with a particular fondness for the Pittsburgh Penguins (especially the cute ones!). To show her team spirit, she can almost always be found wearing a hockey jersey, some of which were gifts to her, others she purchased with money she has saved.
It occured to her at that moment while looking over my shoulder, that as her love for particular players wanes often, and a rookie who moves up from the minors (who might also be on the adorable side) may be this weeks crush, she may want to have the option to trade in her current jerseys for those of the up and coming hockey prospects.
The next generation of ebay enthusiasts has joined the rest of us. She was instantly hired! Mayhem now, with ease, she photographs, writes copy about, prices, weighs for postage, and completes her own listings of all jerseys she wants to part with to earn money and make room for the incoming ones.
I guess you could say we are an eBay family through and through, and in a pinch, she has the skills to list for me when it gets busy around here! After all the holidays are upon us and the store gets especially crazy then!
