Pillar of the Community Dies at 98

Friends and family are saying a final farewell to prominent Bronxville attorney Sam Eisenberg. Eisenberg passed away at the age of 98. He had been the president of the Emanuel Jewish Center, the Mt. Vernon Jewish Community Council, Westchester Day School and Westchester Jewish Conference. The 98-year-old was a founding partner of the White Plains firm Kurzman, Eisenberg, Corbin and Lever. 

“As lawyer and judge, Sam brought to the practice of law an integrity and a faith in the rule of law that has ennobled the legal profession,” said Joel Lever, a partner at Kurzman, Eisenberg, Corbin and Lever."

Eisenberg served as Chair of the Mt. Vernon Zoning Board of Appeals. He was also associate judge and then city court judge for the City of Mt. Vernon from 1978 through 1985. That year, he helped to found Kurzman, Eisenberg, Corbin & Lever.
