Quiet After the Storm: Post-Irene Shots of Scarsdale

Hurricane Irene caused minimal damage in the Fox Meadow area. Featured in this gallery are Fox Meadow Road, Kent Road, Ogden Road and Butler Woods.

While the local and national news stations have been forewarning the possibility of massive destruction, Scarsdale, particularly Fox Meadow, has not seen too much damage. Here are a few local post-storm shots to look at before you climb into your car to drive around and witness Irene's fallout firsthand. If you have any photos you'd like to add, feel free to send them to kirstin.fawcett@patch.com to be included in the gallery.

If this is happening in a community like Scarsdale, then as a taxpayer I am irritated. Where are allRead More the taxes going if teachers are paying for their own classroom supplies? There has to be some degree of accountability regarding our tax dollars. We are the highest-taxed county in the nation and we can't afford notebooks and post-it notes? As a community member, I am not going to "lend a hand." I already do that with my tax dollars.
