Door to Door Solicitors

Why does Scarsdale grant permits to solicitors?   I do not appreciate opening my door to people asking for money.   I work hard for my money and pay very high taxes to live in Scarsdale.  I should not have to be subjected to people begging for donations.   I have my own children I am supporting and paying big money for college expenses.  Just because I have a house in Scarsdale, does not mean I can afford to help pay for their education as well.  I tend not to open my door when I am not expecting anyone anymore, due to this horrible practice that you are allowing.  Please do not give permits to individuals begging for money off the backs of Scarsdale residents!
