no work, no pay for county exec
Rob Astorino has a right to run for Gov. However, he should not receive his $160,000+ taxpayer funded salary unless he commits to devoting 40 hours a week working as County Exec. If his campaign takes up most of his time- his salary should be pro rated- depending on how much time he devotes to his county job.. County employees are required to show up for work and they don't work they don't get paid. Our highest ranking employees in county government should be treated no differently. No show jobs should not be tolerated at the top or at the bottom. A campaign for Gov will require full time attention --travelling the state and fundraising.
