Second Half of Greenburgh School Taxes Due Jan 31

No bill is mailed in January; residents can now pay by credit card via telephone and internet.

REMINDER: 2nd half of the school taxes are due January 31st.  The Receiver of Taxes, Anne Povella, advises that you can pay your taxes on line by checking account (ACH DEBIT). For info visit the town website...www.greenburghny.com (click tax department under departments on left side of home page). There are no fees or surcharges associated with this type of payment.  Town Hall is open January 31st till 7 pm for your convenience. You can also pay be credit card (on line tax payments by credit card)..

The Town of Greenburgh now has the ability to accept tax payments by credit cards via the telephone (1-800-272-9829) and internet.

Since the town cannot absorb the service fee charged by the credit card companies, (these companies will not allow us to pass this fee along to the public) an outside firm had to be retained. Please be aware that this firm charges a significant 'convenience fee' to process your tax payment.

Official Payments Corp. is the same company that is utilized by the IRS and several State tax collection agencies.

2nd half must be paid by January 31

177 Hillside Ave.
Greenburgh, NY 10607

Checks should be made payable to:

Greenburgh, Receiver of Taxes

Office Hours: Monday thru Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

Last day of collection ONLY 9:00am - 7:00pm Jan. 31

The town guarantees the schools 100% of the taxes -whether we collect them or not from taxpayers. Schools are independent of the town. The Town Board has no input re: school taxes. We only act as a collection agent. School budgets (and taxes) are approved by voters each year.
