Greenburgh Health Center Opens Today

Greenburgh Health Center

Great news. The new Greenburgh Neighborhood Health Center is now open for business. The health center moved to their new building on Tuesday, February 5.

The center previously served patients at their old building on Route 119 -near Dobbs Ferry Road. I stopped by the day before opening day and was so impressed and excited. The building, which is across from the Greenburgh Library and next to the Social Security offices is spectacular looking and spacious. It's going to be one of the jewels of the town-something we all will be proud of. The center has some exciting initiatives planned for the community.

The center was built with $12 million dollars in stimulus funds from the federal government. Our community was very lucky to receive one of the regions largest stimulus grants from the fed's. The Health Center provides excellent quality comprehensive primary health care services. For information about the Health Center visit www.greenburghhealthcenter.com. The Health Center is independent of the town and county governments and receives funding from the US Department of Health & Human Services. The Greenburgh Health Center is a satellite site of the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center, Inc. The town had to approve plans for the new health center -- a vote I'm proud to have cast.

Sarah Bracey White, head of the Greenburgh Arts & Culture Committee, is planning to place beautiful art work around the health center (work in progress)- similar to what she's done over the years at the Greenburgh Town Hall.

Stop by at the new Greenburgh Health Center and marvel at the beautiful building. See how your federal stimulus dollars are being put to use!

I don't like how "MY" Federal stimulus funds are being used. To go towards one of the most liberal, wasteful, overtaxed Counties in the Country. I sure hope they have a birth control vending machine in the lobby, now that would be progress! What did they do, reward those communities who had the largest votes for this person in the White House? How abut fixing your potholes dude, your roads in Westchester suck! Oh I know, waiting for more Fed money, sorry.
