Burglar Uses Unlocked Door To Rip Off Scarsdale Home

Scarsdale Police said the burglar entered through an unlocked front door.

This burglar used an unlocked front door to make off with one Scarsdale couple's valuables.

A thief entered a Carthage Road home on February 6, ransacking a bedroom and stealing items, according to Scarsdale Police.

The thief went straight to the master bedroom, where he/she tossed a closet and jewelry drawer, according to the Scarsdale Police report. The bed was messed up and a pillowcase was missing.

The victims told police that the theft occurred sometime between 8:50 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. The victims were not home at the time and had left the front door unlocked. All other doors were locked, according to SPD.

The type of items and the prices of what were swiped was not released in the report.
