Greenburgh Names New Police Chief

The Greenburgh Town Board appointed Captain Chris McNerney as Greenburgh’s next Police Chief. He will replace Joseph DeCarlo, who will be retiring in November.

Captain McNerney has been Captain of the Detective Division of the Police Department since 2009. He previously served as police lieutenant, commanding officer-special investigations unit. He has a JD degree from Pace University School of Law and a BS degree (Magna Cum Laude) from Mercy College. He is a former President of Ardsley Little League and has been involved in many community activities.

"We are very grateful to Chief DeCarlo for his outstanding service as Police Chief during the past four years and his 36 years of service in law enforcement," said Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner.
