Greenwich Man Arrested for Drunk Driving

A 70-year-old Greenwich man was arrested on three counts of DWI following a 4-car collision on Weaver Street and Quaker Ridge Road.

A 70-year-old Greenwich man involved in a 4-car collision with injuries on 167 Weaver Street and 0 Quaker Ridge Road is accused of drunken driving, according to Scarsdale police.

On Friday, May 6, Howard L. Clark was observed by Officer Robaire Johnson to be sitting in the passenger seat of his 2009 Volvo following the accident.

As Johnson engaged in conversation with Clark, he noted alcohol on the driver’s breath. When questioned about his activities, Clark responded that he that he was traveling to his Connecticut residence after having dinner at a Larchmont country club

Clark additionally stated to Johnson that he had two glasses of wine with his dinner and that he was “fully responsible for the accident and that he was daydreaming and had a lot of things on his mind.”

Clark was transported to White Plains Hospital, where he submitted to an alcohol sensor pre-screening test. Clark was subsequently arrested by Scarsdale Police on three charges, including aggravated DWI, driving while intoxicated and driving wile intoxicated with a BAC greater than .08 percent.

Clark was released on $250 bail.
