Home Burglary On Mohican Trail In Scarsdale

Excerpts from the Scarsdale Police Log. The following information was supplied by the Scarsdale Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A burglar broke into a Mohican Trail home on October 19, smashing a window and stealing watches and cash.

According to the Scarsdale Police report, SPD responded to an active burglar alarm at the home. When police arrived, the house was empty and the alarm was going off.

Police found broken glass on the back porch and found the rear, sliding-glass door shattered, according to the police report. SPD also found that the closets in the master bedroom were ransacked.

After investigating, police found pry marks on the door and determined the glass door was the only door/window that was unsecured.

The homeowners returned and walked through the home, reporting to police that $10 in cash and three watches were stolen from the bedroom.

SPD processed the scene and searched the area. Police are still investigating the case.
