This thief must have had a very large getaway car for his latest job.
According to Scarsdale Police, an unknown person stole $150,000 worth of piping from the village's Water Department storage yard.
The department reported to SPD on January 14 that they discovered "all the ductile iron and cast iron fittings, elbows, t's, crosses and reducers ranging from six inches to 16 inches in diameter were missing from the yard," according to a police report.
In total, the thief made off with 250 different pieces of metal, most weighing in at about 385 pounds each, according to the report.
Police are investigating the case and hoping Sanitation Department cameras caught the burglary on tape.
