Police: Kerry Kennedy Flunked Sobriety Tests, May Have Had Sleeping Pill

North Castle Police Department's supporting deposition claims that Kerry Kennedy may have had a sleeping drug, possibly Ambien.

Kerry Kennedy failed multiple field sobriety tests when she was stopped along Interstate 684 near Armonk on Friday, according to a document produced by the North Castle Police Department.

The document states that she failed tests for gaze nystagmus, walk and tum and a one-leg stand. The only test that she passed, according to the deposition, was a recitation of the alphabet.

Kennedy with driving while ability impaired, a misdemeanor.

North Castle Police Officer Joel Thomas was the witnessing personnel, according to the document. State police, who were also there, arrested Kennedy Friday morning after she allegedly struck a tractor trailer with her 2008 gray Lexus.

The document states that she had impaired speech, was swaying and had an impaired motor condition.

The deposition also states that Kennedy stated, at around 8:20 a.m., that she had both thyroid and sleeping medications - the later, according to the deposition is "believed to be Ambien." It states she told police that she may have mistakenly taken the sleeping pill instead of her thyroid medication.

Kennedy's supporters, since Friday, have stated that she tested negative in blood, urine and breathlyzer tests. Ken Sunshine, her spokesman, made that assertion in a quote sent out to Patch and other news outlets. Robert Gottlieb, a Kennedy family lawyer, also brought up this point to The Journal News in an interview, but declined to comment on speculation about Ambien usage.

Most Lexus drivers are a public menace - driving in their luxury isolated bubbles imbibed with a sense of total entitlement to do as they please Lexus + Kennedy = Big Trouble Lucky the damages weren't greater. Only BMW drivers are worse.

In some aspects I agree with you but the Kennedy's LOVE PR; just NOT bad PR which seems to follow them lately. It's still called "news" ; if you don't like what you're reading turn your PC off but don't insult the rest of the readers here Sir.

Actually I find most SUVs and pick up trucks drive in a bubble and have little sense of the size of their own cars.
