Pricey Lights Damaged In Scarsdale

One resident reported to Scarsdale Police that her pricey light fixture was damaged overnight.

Blame it on the kids.

A Park Road resident told Scarsdale Police that her $750 light fixture was damaged overnight.

On January 21, the resident told SPD that someone vandalized her outdoor light fixture. It could have been a youngster from the "loud party" next door.

"She believed that the youths at the party were the individuals that caused damage to the light," the SPD report states.

Police took photos of the damaged light and are investigating.

If this is happening in a community like Scarsdale, then as a taxpayer I am irritated. Where are allRead More the taxes going if teachers are paying for their own classroom supplies? There has to be some degree of accountability regarding our tax dollars. We are the highest-taxed county in the nation and we can't afford notebooks and post-it notes? As a community member, I am not going to "lend a hand." I already do that with my tax dollars.
