Scarsdale Man Charged for Allegedly Shoving Cop

A Walworth Avenue man was arrested by Scarsdale Police for allegedly refusing to let paramedics help his mother. The woman had fallen in the bathroom and was incoherent, according to authorities.

Police came to the home after they got a report from Adult Protective Services that someone had heard screams coming from the Walworth Avenue home. When authorities arrived, they found the woman on the floor, and told the son that paramedics needed to take her to the hospital. But the son wouldn't let his mother go, and shoved an officer who was trying to help, according to police.

The 44-year-old Walworth Avenue man was handcuffed and charged with obstruction.
