Scarsdale Mom Charged With Dealing Pot Out on Bail

Scarsdale's Andrea Sanderlin is out on bail this morning. Four friends co-signed her bond, including a hair stylist and hair colorist who say the last time they saw her was at a party six months ago. The judge in the case says Sanderlin will have to get the signatures of relatives and her mother if she wants to stay out of jail.

"For all I know, she has millions of dollars or she could have a couple hundred dollars," Judge Steven Gold said at the bail hearing in federal court in Brooklyn. "She hasn't worked, but she's living in Scarsdale and driving a Mercedes. I can't add that up."

Sanderlin is accused of growing and trying to sell more than 1,000 marijuana plants out of a Queens warehouse. The charges contrast with the mother of three's lifestyle, which recently included horseback riding lessons with her daughter at Twin Lakes Farm riding academy in Bronxville.

Investigators say the marijuana in the warehouse was worth millions-of-dollars. The 45-year-old would allegedly drive her Mercedes SUV from her mansion in Scarsdale on a regular basis to check on her crops at the warehouse, according to court documents.

Sanderlin's next court appearance is scheduled for July 15. She has plead not guilty to the charges.
