Scarsdale Native Dies in Tragic Accident

Scarsdale native Gary Corwin Jr. died on Sunday after driving over an embankment on the Taconic Parkway. No one knew that's what happened to him until he was found by his friends one day after the accident.

Corwin had gone missing after he received an award at a Rye yacht club on Sunday. He had been heading to his home in Yorktown when the accident happened.

Corwin was found on the following day by his friends who were tracing his route from the Rye club to Yorktown. The couple said they saw a damaged guardrail off the Taconic's Millwood exit. When they got out of their vehicle, they saw pieces of Corwin's car.
