Scarsdale PD: Stolen Lens, Vandalized Items

Vandal Hits French American School

An alleged vandal destroyed $900 worth of property at the St. Pius French American School last week.

According to Scarsdale Police, the school reported on October 1 that three plastic containers, worth $300 each, were damaged by an unknown person. The containers, used to secure toys and outdoor items, were padlocked. Police said the doors of all three containers were pried off but no items were stolen.

Expensive Lens Swiped During Football Game

A Scarsdale photographer had a $650 camera lens stolen while covering a Scarsdale High School football game on September 22.

According to a police report, the resident said he left his bag with his camera equipment under the bleachers during the game. After leaving the bag for an hour and a half, he returned and noticed the pricey lens was missing.
