Brogan spots man on Greenacres Avenue.

Scarsdale Police helped White Plains Police catch a suspected burglar Friday evening.

After the White Plains Police Department issued an alert for "an interrupted burglary" north of Scarsdale on Cushman Road, SPD was on the lookout for the alleged culprits.

According to the police report, the chief spotted a "hispanic male wearing a red shirt and blue pants who fit the description of one of the suspects wanted in connection with the burglary."

SPD Spokesman Det. Lt. Thomas J. Altizio said the White Plains PD had broadcast the description of two suspectes wanted in connection with an "interrupted burglary" to Scarsdale PD.

"Several minutes later Chief John Brogan stopped an individual on Greenacres Avenue that matched the description of one of the suspects and conducted a field interview with the person."

"White Plains Police responded to the scene of the field interview and took custody of the  person," Altizio said. "It is my understanding that the individual was charged with burglary by the White Plains Police.
