Scarsdale Police Log: Stolen Bike, Church Damaged

Monday, March 12

7:43 p.m. Scarsdale Police responded to East Parkway and Spencer Place for a report of a stolen bicycle. The victim locked his LL Bean dark green bike in front of Chase Bank on East Parkway. When he returned, his bike was gone. Police are investigating.

2:00 p.m. Police arrested a Bronx man on an arrest warrant from the Village of Scarsdale Justice Court for vehicle and traffic law violations.

9:14 a.m. Police responded to a report of identity theft on Clarence Road. The victim reported to police that she had received a call from IC System Inc., on March 7, stating she owed $51.42 on an EBay account. She does not have an EBay account, informed EBay and filed a police report.

Sunday, March 18

10:14 a.m. Police responded to the Scarsdale Community Baptist Church on Popham Road for a report of vandalism. According to police, the church custodian found "green paint splashed on the front entrance causing damage to the wood oak doors, stone wall, granite molding, brass kick plate molding and a portion of the slate stone walkway."

Police found a paint can on the walkway and secured for evidence. The estimated damage is about $3,000, according to police. Police have no suspects at this time.
