This alleged thief made a quick, if not uncomfortable, get-away.
A Scarsdale 7-Eleven manager told Scarsdale Police that a man entered his shop on September 20 and swiped a donations box, stuffed the box into his pants and fled.
According to the SPD report, two men entered the shop on Garth Road at about noon. One man distracted the store clerk by requesting items from behind the counter, according to the report. The second man grabbed a donation box that was for muscular dystrophy research donations and "placed it in his pants," according to the report.
The amount of money in the box was not known, according to police.
Both suspects fled the store, according to SPD.
The store manager gave police a DVD containing surveillance footage of the incident. Police are investigating.
