Stamford Man Hits Cabbie In Scarsdale

This taxi cab ride was definitely no Cash Cab episode.

Scarsdale Police responded to Rodney and Hamilton roads on December 29 and found a drunk Stamford man hiding and a NYC taxi driver with a swollen face and a cut on his thumb.

According to the police report, three passengers were taking the cab from NYC to Scarsdale. One passenger was dropped off and, according to the police report, one of the two remaining male passengers hit the cabbie after arguing with him.

Police found the runaway passenger hiding behind 17 Hamilton Road, according to the report. SPD arrested Michael C. Carberry, 23, of Stamford, Conn., on a charge of Harassment, 2nd, Physical Contact. He was held on $100 cash bail and released when his father bailed him out, according to the SPD report.

He is schedule to appear in Scarsdale Village Court on Jan. 19.
