Stolen Vehicle Found Parked on Scarsdale's Black Walnut Road

A man who told Scarsdale Police that his truck had been stolen ended up spotting his vehicle in another section of the Village. The man told investigators that his pick-up truck was stolen from Palmer Avenue. He said that the 1997 Ford was used for his landscaping business.

In an interesting turn of events, the man spotted the stolen truck later in the day, about a half-mile away on Black Walnut Road. The truck was parked in front of a home.

Police say the truck was unlocked and the key was in the ignition when it was recovered. The pickup was also badly damaged and had the GPS stolen out of the cab. The truck had to be towed to a garage so it could be repaired.
