WATCH: SPD Camera Shows Tree Falling On Car

The Scarsdale Police Department's dash cam caught this tree falling on a car during Hurricane Sandy Monday. The driver was unharmed.

One lucky driver escaped unscathed after a tree fell on his car while driving through Scarsdale on Monday during Hurricane Sandy. The intense event was all caught on camera by the Scarsdale Police Department's on-board dash camera

According to Det. Lt. Thomas Altizio of the Scarsdale Police Department, the SPD cruiser was traveling behind the driver southbound on Post Road near Crane Road on October 29.

"The operator of the vehicle shown in the video was not injured, but as the video shows, was extremely lucky, as the tree top landed right in front of the vehicle, then bounced up and landed on the car," Altizio stated in a release. "It emphasizes why we advise people to stay off the road during these extreme weather conditions."
