"Carry the Load" Begins Journey From West Point To Texas

The group of veteran supporters stopped throughout Westchester Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Carry the Load, a non-profit veterans support group, began their relay from West Point to Texas Tuesday afternoon, stopping briefly in Peekskill and then Ossining.

The group is relaying 1,700 miles to remind Americans of the importance of Memorial Day and of supporting veterans. All proceeds raised through Carry the Load will go towards several organizations dedicated to military families and veterans causes.
