Greenburgh Down To 4,926 Con Ed Outages

Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner said all polling stations are open today and there are 12 Con Ed crews working in town today.

All polling places are open today. I was pleased that the polling inspectors at my polling place reminded residents that there is a local referendum on the back of the ballot-sports facility lease at the abandoned Frank's nursery.

There are now 4,926 outages in Greenburgh, down from 9,500 a week ago. Con Ed has assigned 12 Con Ed crews to the town today and 2 clear cut crews (the most since the storm.) There may be other unassigned crews sent to the town. So hopefully, we'll see a lot of progress today.

More people are taking advantage of the house angels program. If you are cold and want to be matched with a family that has a warm house, please e mail me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com or call me on my cell 914-438-1343.  The Theodore Young Community Center is also open 24-hours a day during the storm as a warming center.

Enjoy the (Greenburgh) Library. I spent some time speaking to residents last night without power and was able to match some powerless residents with "house angels." Will try to do the same today.

The Greenburgh Police deserve our thanks. Numerous Police officers on the Technical Rescue Team responded to countless locations throughout the town, at all hours of the day and night, and cut and removed well over 100 trees that were blocking roadways and creating hazards. The Police Department Paramedics and EMT’s are the ones that respond to every medical emergency call in the town and provide medical treatment as needed. The same members of the Police Department provide patient transportation to the necessary hospitals.
