The following Alert was issued by Mayor Mary C. Marvin regarding additonal power outages in Bronxville today.
The snowstorm last night brought more power outages to the Village of Bronxville.
This morning there were as many as 60 storm related outages. During the day we were able to reduce that number to around 12-15.
Just now, it was reported that another 157 outages have occurred in the Parkway Road section of the Village. 134 reports of these are considered to be one outage.
We are told by Con Ed that these outages should be temporary as they are controlled shut-downs that occur as Con Ed is working on a neighboring system. All during the day some sections of the Village were temporally shut down and then later restored. This may occur until there is full restoration system wide.
We ask that everyone in the Village that has, or is just now experiencing, a power outage that you immediately notify Con Ed at 1-800-75CONED.
