Scarsdale Invited To Discuss Campaign Finance Reform

The League of Women Voters is holding a public meeting Monday on the subject.

Folks interested in debating and discussing the subject of state campaign finance reform are invited to attend a public meeting on Monday morning.

The Scarsdale League of Women Voters is hosting Sally Robinson, President of the League of Women Voters of New York State. She will be discussing New York State Campaign Finance Reform on Monday, November 19. The talk is taking place at 10:30 a.m. at Scarsdale Village Hall in the 3rd floor Meeting Room.

"The NY State’s Campaign Finance system is broken," the Scarsdale LWV said in a statement. "Our state campaign finance system is characterized by sky-high campaign donation limits, lenient restrictions on mingling personal and campaign funds and ineffective enforcement of the laws. Governor Cuomo has made this issue a priority for his 2013 agenda, but change will only happen if informed citizens push for reform."
