Scarsdale Releases Tentative Village Budget

The tentative budget for fiscal year 2012-2013 has been filed.

The Village of Scarsdale filed the tentative budget for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 on Friday.

The 2012-2013 tentative expenditures are a 4.1% increase from the 2011-2012 adopted budget, Budget Officer Alfred A. Gatta and Village Treasurer Marie Louise McClure stated in a letter to the Board of Trustees and Mayor Miriam Flisser.

"Appropriations (gross expenditures and transfers) for the 2012-2013 fiscal
year are projected to be $48,899,129 compared to $46,955,697 adopted in
2011-2012, an increase of $1,943,432, or 4.14%," the two stated in the letter.

The Village Board’s Finance Committee is meeting tonight (Monday, March 19) in at 5:45 p.m. The committee's agenda can be viewed by clicking here. The committee is set to discuss the tentative budget.

According to Deputy Village Manager Stephen Pappalardo, the Board of Trustees "can modify the budget via resolution and public vote at any time prior to May 1, 2012, when the FY 2012-2013 budget must be filed pursuant to New York State law."
