Tonight's Meeting Previews: Edgemont Board of Education and Village Board

Edgemont's Board of Education meets at 8:15 p.m. and the Village Board meets at 8:00 p.m.

The and the are both meeting this evening.

Edgemont's BOE is meeting at 8:15 p.m. tonight (May 8) at the Junior/Senior High School.

The agenda includes a community recognition portion. The BOE is congratulating National Merit Scholarship Winner Eugene Kim and the Edgemont Junior/Senior High School Chamber Choir, under the direction of Kelley Morse.

The board will be accepting gifts of $2,000 from Intel and $1,140 from the Edgemont PTSA.

Also up tonight, the Superintendent will lead a discussion on the ESF Grant Award and hold a public hearing on the 2012-2013 budget (a requirement by NY state law.)

The Edgemont district is holding the budget vote and election of board of education members on Tuesday, May 15, from 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Junior/Senior High School's old gymnasium.

Down the road at Scarsdale , the Village Board of Trustees is meeting tonight at 8:00 p.m.

On tap for the BOT meeting: A presentation on the Stormwater Phase II Notice of Intent Annual Report from March 2011-March 2012.

Also tonight, the board will accept gifts from the Greenacres Neighborhood Association and the Friends of the Scarsdale Parks.

In addition, the BOT will appoint William J. Natbony as the Associate Village Historian.
