TZ Bridge Meetings This Week

There are several public meetings for the new NY Bridge this week, from a chance to meet the design-build team to a seminar on jobs in Greenburgh.

This first week of February will be a busy one as TZ officials get closer to the fast-track, spring projected start date of the "New NY Bridge" construction.

The TZ Bridger meetings include: one to introduce the public to the Tappan Zee Constructors design-build team, several public hearings for the public to comment on the Department of Environmental Conservation draft permits, and lastly, a chance to hear about how to get one of the many jobs that will come to the region.

COMMUNITY MEETING WITH NEW NY BRIDGE'S DESIGN-BUILD TEAM

Representatives from Tappan Zee Constructors, the Thruway Authority and the Governor's office will be on hand to present the design-build team's comprehensive plan and answer questions.

NYS DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION PUBLIC HEARINGS

The public is invited to comment on the DEC draft permits for the New NY Bridge at the following hearings:

  • Thursday, Feb. 7 
at 2 and 6 p.m., Westchester Marriott, Tarrytown Grand Ballroom
, 670 White Plains Road, 
Tarrytown

"The only way a project of this magnitude can be successful is if everyone involved has their voice heard," said Governor Andrew Cuomo. "These meetings will be an incredibly useful tool in achieving this goal, for both the design-build team and the general public."
