Vice President Biden to Make Stop in Scarsdale Tonight

The vice president will be traveling to Scarsdale today.

Scarsdale is getting ready for a visit from Vice President Joseph Biden this evening.

The vice president will be traveling to Scarsdale tonight

"In the afternoon, the Vice President will travel to Scarsdale, New York, to attend a campaign event at 6:15 p.m.," the Office of the Vice President said in a statement. "The Vice President will return to Wilmington, Delaware, in the evening."

The Office of the Vice President did not confirm any details of the Scarsdale trip.

However, the WPCNR Main Street Journal is reporting that Biden "is expected to arrive by government jet at Westchester County Airport sometime after 5:30 p.m., and then be whisked by motorcade to a home in Scarsdale, where the private event is scheduled to be held."

According to WPCNR Main Street Journal, "The Vice-President is expected to be out of Scarsdale no later than 8:15 p.m. Thursday evening. Because Mr. Biden will be receiving VIP treatment with the U.S. Secret Service in charge of security, and his arrival will coincide with at least part of the rush hour, some traffic impact should be expected."

Bruiser, want to bet on that?
bruiser April 15, 2012 at 06:15 PM
Francis if i could i would ,you better open your eye's my friend Romney is no better than what we have. The GOP has made it's bed and will now have to sleep in it my friend.
bruiser April 15, 2012 at 06:19 PM
Francis Romney is going to lose period, this election will be fairly close but in the end the democrat will win.I will let you know ahead of time that i don't like what President Obama has done either, but when you gather all the facts Romney is no better than what we have.1 other little prediction, the house will also fall.
Francis T McVetty April 15, 2012 at 10:20 PM
bruiser, Romney is so far better than Obama it is laughable. What experience does Obama have in business? Look at the people he populates his cabinet with. Ones a communist, another a tax cheat. Another thinks that the borders are safer than they have ever been. An attorney general that doesn't know what voter intimidation is. The list goes on and on. A door knob could do a better job!

Vice President Joseph Biden, the gift that keeps on giving. He is the only man that I know that can put BOTH feet in his mouth at one time.
Walden Macnair April 16, 2012 at 09:57 PM
Francis, You obviously never met Romney. He does that almost every day. Why just recently he attacked a media person for saying thaat his wife never had a job and he pointed out that she was a stay at home mom and that was the most difficult job of all. Yet when he spoke of stay at home moms who were receiving public assistance he said they need to go to work (as in get a job). Guess poor moms need to work outside the home, but rich moms need to stay home to keep an eye on the staff.

Yea so much for the days that a single Mom would want to set a good example for their children and strive to get off welfare. Teach your kids to stay at home and collect from the public trough. In fact, teach them that it's okay to have a few more kids from different dead beat fathers and collect more. Just keep voting democrat and enjoy your stay on the modern day plantation.
Francis T McVetty April 17, 2012 at 02:11 PM
Walden, There is a whole class of people that are dependent on welfare. If people are rewarded for having children, then the cycle will never be broken . There are now 5 generations of people on the dole in England. Don't know how many generations there are here in the United States. The answer, in my opinion, is to help those on welfare with day care until they can get on their feet. Just paying them to stay home and NOT having to work only makes the problem worse.Stop rewarding those who continue to have children with even more money. The more children, the more money they make. How about going after the dead beat dads? Sound cruel, maybe, but it is reality. Poverty begets poverty.
Walden Macnair April 17, 2012 at 03:08 PM
Francis, I too believe that fathers should not get a free ride and would welcome a law that holds them responsible. The point of the post however was the double standard that we are applying to stay at home moms. It is somehow commendable when a rich mom stays home but deplorable when a poor mom does. That's really the issue. I think Mrs. Romney was disingenuous in her outrage. If she doesn't know that being a stay at home mom is a lot different when you have a maid, a cook and a nanny as opposed to when you're worried about the next meal or paying the rent then she is totally out of touch with reality. Remember, this is the same woman who stated in an interview that she, "didn't realize they were rich" even though they designed a beach house with an elevator for their cars.
Francis T McVetty April 17, 2012 at 08:33 PM
Walden, being "rich" is a matter of perception. Rich to one person is not rich to another. Remember that the administration thinks that anyone making over 250K is "rich".
Walden Macnair April 17, 2012 at 10:32 PM
Considering that most people in Westchester will never see 250K a year, I'm fine with that. If you make more than 250K a year, good for you but keep it in perspective. Rich isn't a matter of perspective, it's a matter of income.
bruiser April 18, 2012 at 02:53 AM
Francis you are correct about fathers, but what happens is the mother who is pregnant applies for welfare and tells the social worker she doesn't know who the father is.The solution to that problem is if you do not know who the father is you recieve no money until you remember who he is.
SRT April 18, 2012 at 09:51 AM
Francis, Like many of your conservative brethren you seem be living in the past. You say that there is a "whole class of people that are dependent on welfare" Did you miss the fact that there is a five year limit on welfare benefits and that recipients have to start working after two years of benefits?????????????????? Please try and pay attention. As the old saying goes, : "Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt""
Francis T McVetty April 18, 2012 at 11:33 AM
Walden, and beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Francis T McVetty April 18, 2012 at 10:27 PM
bruiser, [The solution to that problem is if you do not know who the father is you recieve no money until you remember who he is.] Another solution is that unless there is a fathers name on the child's birth certificate there is NO welfare money.
Francis T McVetty April 19, 2012 at 08:01 PM
SRT, so you are saying that the approximately 43.6 million people on welfare are mostly new applicants? Are you really serious?
bruiser April 20, 2012 at 06:24 PM
Francis if you read what i wrote that is exactly what i said,no name of the father no money.I have a few friends who work for social services and they tell me this excuse is used often,it's the rules that were written by none other than politicians from both sides of the isle. There is literally thousands of father's running around not paying a dime for their kids and pushing the cost onto the tax payers, and that is something that needs to be addressed ASAP.
SRT April 20, 2012 at 09:29 PM
Francis, You are kidding, right? 43.6 million people on welfare? Please check your facts, there is a computer tool called "The Google", give it a shot. I just told you what the law is, you can check that with "The Google" also.
