Vote On 'Game On' Postponed Until Tuesday

Town Supervisor Paul Feiner says the town council has come to a consensus.

Because Town Councilman Ken Jones was ill today, trustees decided to postpone the vote on the proposed sports complex on Dobbs Ferry Road until 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

The controversial project has been the subject of , and Greenburgh residents have anticipated hearing the council's decision.

"We believe there is a consensus among board members, but Ken [Jones] said he wanted to be there for the vote," Town Supervisor said Friday.

The council did meet Friday afternoon though to "tighten up the language in the contract," Feiner said.

He added that he believes those opposed to the project will find it more palatable as a result of changes that increase revenue to the town, not only taxes collected from the company.

"The owners will now be directly responsible for making the payments," Feiner said.

The vote on Tuesday will be open to the public. Check Patch for results.
