Cooking, Job Hunting and Controlling Cravings at the Scarsdale Adult School

For all those Scarsdale residents trying to brush up on their culinary knowledge, in need of assistance job hunting or trying to keep their sweets under control–register for a course at the .

Today and Thursday, adults can take part in "Sugar Detox with Stephanie Filardi." The founder and co-owner of Bronxville Wellness Sanctuary "will help you overcome sugar addiction and cravings and improve your overall health," according to the description.

"Sugar Detox" is offered today, Tuesday, March 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Westchester Reform Temple and on Thursday, March 15, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the .

Also, Filardi will teach day and evening sessions of “Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction,” and “Eating for Healthy Aging and the Role of Supplements" in March. (A discount applies for those who register for all three classes.)

For the job seekers in need of advice, “Your Professional Internet Presence: Maximize Your Job Search,” course is being offered today and tonight. Adults will learn social media tips and networking strategies with Bridget Gibbons, CEO of Gibbons Digital and technology consultant to Fortune 100 clients.

The cost of this course is $40 course and is being held today, Tuesday, March 13, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the or from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Scarsdale High School.  

On Thursdays, the Scarsdale Adult School is kicking off America Gonzalez's Cooking at Home: Great Chefs Series. Chefs and aspiring chefs can learn the art of cooking in two sessions. The cost for this series is $145. The class meets Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Gonzalez's home in Scarsdale. 

For those who want to amp up their cooking, there is a five-hour Kitchen Workshop, taught by Gonzalez. The adult students learn six recipes and complete the series with a sit-down meal. The cost for this workshop $145.
