Dr. Paul Donahue to Speak at Scarsdale PTA Meeting

How parents can help their middle schooler build resilience will be the subject of upcoming discussion in Scarsdale.

Dr. Paul Donahue, clinical psychologist and director of Scarsdale-based Child Development Associates, will give a presentation later this month at the Scarsdale Middle School’s PTA meeting on building resilience in middle school students.

Donahue’s presentation, “Seven Keys to Resilience in Middle School: The Skills Children Need to Thrive in Today's Competitive World,” will focus on the specific ways that parents can help their adolescents become better prepared to manage the multiple demands of middle school and beyond.

In addition to being the director of Child Development Associates, Donahue is also the author of “Parenting Without Fear: Letting Go of Worry and Focusing on What Really Matters,” and the co-author of “Mental Health Consultation in Early Childhood.”
