Global Hunger Shabbat with guest speaker Ruth W. Messinger
On Friday, November 11 at 7:45 p.m., Westchester Reform Temple will host a Global Hunger Shabbat, featuring guest speaker Ruth W. Messinger, President of American Jewish World Service (AJWS). Global Hunger Shabbat is a part of a nationwide program by AJWS that will take place during 18 Days of Action, culminating on Thanksgiving. Ms. Messinger will speak about “Fighting Hunger in a World of Plenty: Repairing Our Global Food System” exploring the politics of the global food crisis.
