Calling all future film directors!
Scarsdale middle school students now have a chance to learn all about filmmaking at the formerly the Scarsdale Teen Center, during a special workshop.
Interested movie lovers can sign up for the workshop, which meets twice a week at the center.
"Each week, the group will create a mini film in a particular genre: music video, comedy, thriller, silent, etc.," according to the center's announcement. "On Wednesdays, the group will craft and write the piece, then on Fridays, they will film. This workshop will give students the opportunity to write, act, and film. At the end of the six weeks, we will hold a “premiere” evening for family and friends when all the films created will be screened."
Aspiring actors, directors, writers and movie producers will meet on Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., from February 13-April 5 at the Center@862. The cost of the workshop is $60.
