Get Out: A Patch Weekend Guide for May 18-20

A few happenings to help you enjoy your weekend around Scarsdale, Eastchester and Bronxville for May 18-20, 2012.

Get a jump start on celebrating the weekend and enjoying your time away from work and school. Here are a few local events to help you and your family have some fun. TGIF!

1.   This event that is only a few miles to the north is sure to tickle your pallet as well as leave you happy and full. 2. Eastchester High School Film Festival - This is the 9th annual festival which serves as a culminating project for the students who have been working on their own original projects for much of the school year.  Each student will be showcasing their work and many former students in the program have gone on to have careers in the film industry. The film festival will take place on Friday at 6 p.m. at .

3. -The 10th Annual Traffic Safety Expo-Kid's Safety Day features safety displays and exhibits for children including: fire safety, car seat safety, car seat installation, jaws of life demonstration, driving and texting simulator and much more. Stop by at on Saturday May 19 from Noon to 3 p.m.

4. Art lovers, head to Scarsdale this weekend for the The event, being held from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, includes artwork of all kinds, free parking and more.

5. On Saturday, the in Scarsdale is holding its annual at 12:00 p.m. The family-friendly event features discovery walks, a coloring contest and a scavenger hunt.
