Scarsdale Parent-Teacher Council Host 'Race to the Top' Discussion

Scarsdale's Parent-Teacher Council is hosting a panel discussion Tuesday, Nov. 19, on New York State's "Race to the Top" education plan, the group announced.

The discussion will center on how the state's educational mandates are affecting the village's school system from the students to the community at-large to taxes and the future.

Speakers will include Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, Scarsdale Middle School Principal Michael McDermott, educator Trudy Moses and Scarsdale Superintendent Dr. Michael McGill.

The public is invited and can ask questions.

Tuesday's discussion is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the Scarsdale Middle School Auditorium, 134 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale.
