Updated: Scarsdale Schools Collaborate On Project

The Quaker Ridge and Heathcote school students and teachers worked together on a project.

Students and teachers from the and elementary schools worked together on a cross-school project this month.

The students collaborated using art, music and media to study Harriet Tubman. The second and third graders also recorded a song as part of the project, according to Jen Cheung, Second Grade Teacher at Quaker Ridge.

"What has been great about this project, is that is has been inter-grade, inter-school and inter-disciplinary," Cheung said.

Those who helped with this project included Maria Stile, Heathcote Principal;
Robyn Lane, Quaker Ridge Principal; Jen Conklin, Third Grade Teacher at Heathcote; Jen Cheung, Second Grade Teacher at Quaker Ridge; Katherine Bescherer, Music Teacher at Heathcote; Scott Haberkorn, Music Teacher at Heathcote; Jodi Giroux, Computer Teacher at Heathcote; Michael Pincus, Computer Teacher at Quaker Ridge; and the third and second grade students from both schools.
