Dresses, suits, shoes: check. Dates, corsages, cameras: check. After much planning and anticipation, the Class of 2012 Prom has arrived.
This year’s prom is being held tonight at Glenn Island Harbor Club at 7:00 p.m. Pre-prom celebrations start at the high school at 4:00 p.m. this evening before students board the buses.
Roughly 460 tickets were sold this year.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the seniors have a good time, get dressed up, and cap off their senior year," said senior class advisor Eric Rauschenbach. "It’s great to see the kids who we’ve known for the past four years celebrate their time here.”
Senior Sara Pattiz, a member of the prom committee, shared a similar sentiment.

“I can't wait to have fun with everyone and really make the best of the time our senior class has together,” she said.
She also added that she is excited to see the prom committee’s hard work really come together.
“As a senior, this event is special because, aside from senior transition day, it's our last time together as a class before graduation," Pattiz said. "It'll be really nice to come together as a class. It's been weird being away from everyone during senior options!”
After prom, many students will attend after-prom parties in Scarsdale or New York City to continue to celebrate with their peers.
