8th Annual Invitational "Golfing For A Cause and After Par-Tee"

Westchester Deltas Inc. (WDI) presents its 8th Annual Invitational "Golfing For A Cause and After Par-Tee" benefit on Saturday, September 8th beginning at 12:00PM, at Putnam National Golf Club in Mahopac, NY. There is an activity for every skill level.
 
Guests have three ways to enjoy the Invitational.  

The shotgun start- all groups of players will tee off simultaneously from different holes to play an 18 hole round of golf- begins at 1:00PM. Men and women of all skill levels are welcomed to play.  

The golf clinic for those who do not know how to play, but would like to learn. The two hour clinic with a golf professional begins at 5:00PM.  

Dine and dance at the "After Par-Tee" from 7:00PM to 11:00PM, featuring music by "The Legendary Chris Washington" formerly the Mastermixer at WBLS (107.5).

Various contests throughout the day, including a chance to win a fabulous golf vacation package for two.   

Prices:

  • Golfer - $175 (pre-registration); $200 (on-site registration). Prices include green fees, cart, practice balls, unlimited non-alcoholic on-course beverage cart, lunch, dinner and the "After Par-Tee."
  • Clinic - $75. Price includes clinic, dinner and "After Par-Tee."
  • "After Par-Tee" admission - $50. Price includes dinner and dancing.

If this is happening in a community like Scarsdale, then as a taxpayer I am irritated. Where are allRead More the taxes going if teachers are paying for their own classroom supplies? There has to be some degree of accountability regarding our tax dollars. We are the highest-taxed county in the nation and we can't afford notebooks and post-it notes? As a community member, I am not going to "lend a hand." I already do that with my tax dollars.
