Get Out: A Scarsdale Patch Weekend Guide For August 17-19

Get a jump start on celebrating the weekend and enjoying your time away from work and school. Here are a few local events to help you and your family have some fun. TGIF!

1. Tonight, head over to Five Islands Park in New Rochelle for . The event begins with refreshments at 6:30 p.m. and a 7:30 p.m. sunset service.

2. Or, enjoy a free, outdoor concert tonight with Lao Tizer at on the Yonkers Waterfront. The show begins at 6:30 p.m.

3. Attention music lovers! Also tonight, is playing at Provident Bank Park. The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are $25.

4. Saturday, the festivities kick off at 12:00 p.m. in Hartsdale. Enjoy a family picnic, games, vendors, resource tables and more at the fourth year of the LGBT event in Westchester.

5. Get outdoors for some exercise and fun on Saturday at the The walk begins at 5:30 p.m. and ends with the option of attending a Hawaiian Night BBQ and Oldies Party on the Patio. The group walk is free and the party is $15 per person.
